Sometimes
Sometimes in the morning
I catch a falling dream disappearing scene
Think about a someone
I will never see again
Now It's only me again.
Sometimes in the morning
I think I hear a phrase echo through the haze
Just beyond my vision
Something that she said one night
Before we went to bed one night.
And sometimes in the morning
I go back to sleep trying hard to keep
Memories in motion
Wishing she were here, my love
Whispering in my ear
My love,
“My love.”
My song "Sometimes" was written in '65 after a breakup.
We did get back together and married in '68, then divorced in '86. She died in '95.
I married again in '88, still am.
This is a fine song, Malcom. I could tell that it's very heartfelt and personal, and that's what makes it so good. Oh, just one question: is that you singing and playing the guitar?
